  2. Is Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations a show you would want to see?

The P.R. Director of my Charity has urged the Board of Directors to cut a deal with Anthony Bourdain to perform the week of the Scottsdale Culinary Festival. He is not inexpensive. Is this a show that anyone has seen or that they would be willing or want to see? All opinions are appreciated....

  3. What's up ?

I have nothing to say but thought I'd start a random thread to talk about anything since no one is saying much around these parts. I'm listening to Frank Sinatra, drinking a bottle of (you guessed it) Ketcham Pinot. The weather is cool today, hit a high of 72, maybe. Giants lost their game...

  4. Could today be the turn to a new Bear Market.

The dramatic selloff of the Euro, incredibly low interest rates on long term treasuries, Head and Shoulder tops on the S&P and Naz action smells to me like we are at or very close to a new downtrend. I'm glad I didn't buy expensive 09 Bordeaux, they may cost less next year.

  7. So a Pirate walks into a Wine Bar

A pirate walked into a Wine bar, and the bartender said, "Hey, I haven't seen you in a while. What happened? You look terrible." "What do you mean?" said the pirate, "I feel fine." "What about the wooden leg? You didn't have that before." "Well," said the pirate, "We were in a battle,...

  16. World's Shortest Fairytale

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl, "Will you marry me?" The girl said "NO" and she lived happily ever after and went shopping, drank martinis with friends, always had a clean house, never had to cook, no one complained when she snored, had a closet full of shoes and handbags, had a healthy body...

  19. AZ Fugitives

So did I just hear this right...the two people still on the run (one escaped inmate and his bolt cutter fiancee) are first cousins and engaged. More intrigue in a story where a guy serving time for attempted murder is in a "medium" security prison. Jack, what's going on in AZ?

to my big surprise I found every gas station in Turkey carrying LNG which is 1/2 the price of gasoline, cleaner fuel, better mileage and the locals can convert practically any engine for LNG use at just under $1000 a pop. What is USA, which is Saudi Arabia of natural gas, is waiting for is...
